“Togetherness,” an eight-episode HBO comedy from the directors of “Cyrus” and “Jeff, Who Lives at Home,” tracks a couple who lets two of their friends move in with them “on the fringes of Los Angeles.” Mark Duplass and Melanie Lynskey (“Happy Christmas,” “Goodbye to All That”) make up the unhappy couple, seen in the teaser below as having lost their spark, while Steve Zissis plays his friend and Amanda Peet co-stars as her sister. “Together,” antics ensue, new relationships are formed, and dreams are chased.
Described as “tragically comedic” by the network, “Togetherness” looks to have all the realistic touches of the Duplass’ film work, as well as its relatable appeal. Check out the first teaser below and decide for yourself if “Togetherness” is something you want to pursue.
