I know i havent read the book or seen the movie yet but i have to agree… Im getting tired of these dystopian teenager love movies.. Hunger games is an exception because jennifer lawrence is an amazing actress.. But now theres quite a lot of these type of movies. Maybe this would be a good movie but without the whole love portion of it

Can this finally be a movie where the aliens/bad guys win? I'm tired of the whole David vs Goliath complex of these movies. I wanna see something where when the protagonist is up against all odds, he/she/they give it their all but still lose. Mix things up dammit.

Impression after first minute or so:
Oh cool, Independence day with Chloë Moretz! (as a Brit, I find the whole 'Murican freedom thing humourous.)

Impression at about a minute and a half: looks through comments wait, this is based off a book? Aw, hell naw. (Also, the fact that they even mention that she has to look for her brother brings flashbacks of how anticlimactic Godzilla was.)
