The line delivery by the actors shows the level of finesse Mendes puts in his direction. He directs actors very well, from having a theatre background. You can recognize a good perfomance by just listening to how they deliver their lines. Can't wait for this.

Honestly I love this trailer so much more. It's so dark and mysterious. I feel like the full trailer reveals far too much. Then again, most trailers do these days ?

These films have always fascinated me for one reason: the idea of there being secret organizations that not even the CIA or MI-6 know about. As an aspiring Nietzsche scholar, I have always asked myself 'where have the strong gone? where does power truly reside?' Now this may seem like an overly normative, fanboy theory, but I like to think that the strong have become so impossibly powerful that they're unrecognizable even to the most perceptive individuals. In our times, it is not the physically superior and apparently threatening that are best able to bend people to their will, but rather, the deceitful. In Plato's dialogue 'Gorgias', Socrates confronts the craft of oratory (manipulation through persuasion) and is told by its master Calicles that it is the art of getting people to do whatever you want. But what's interesting about the dialogue is that Calicles does not confront Socrates until his two students Gogias and Polous (his henchmen) have been dispensed with, instead, he waits in relative silence while assessing Socrates. As i understand it, SPECTER is responsible for training many of Bonds adversaries in Counter-intelligence, terrorism, extortion and so on. In the context of the Bond trilogy, perhaps SPECTER is our Calicles, while Quantum and Skyfall, despite there brilliance, are mere henchmen; subsidiary players. I do not doubt the plausibility of there being secret players such as these in the real world, people with anti-ethical and impersonal motives who conduct themselves ubiquitously and are the closest thing to power personified. But what's important to keep in mind though is that when power is so condensed, so concentrated, it begins to lose any and all identity…something external to all men, where even characters such as the one portrayed by Christopher Waltz, are merely its puppets.
