I didn't know what to expect when I bought my copy of Mad Max, but I've been a fan of the movies most of my life.
I wasn't disappointed… in fact… I'd have to say that this is one of my favorite 3rd person perspective games of all time, partly because I dig how it plays, partly because I'm a huge fan of the story, and partly because it's one of the more ruthlessly violent games out there in which the violence itself is not only justified, but feels necessary for survival…. like it should be.

No… I love this game. I've been a gamer since the early 1980s, and this stands out as one of my favorite titles out of the countless thousands of games I've played. I'd love to see tons of mods and content packs developed for this to add on more chapters, but as is, it's a fairly lengthy game… at least if you try to go for completion of everything and don't rush ahead too early.

Oh yeah… and the underground lairs out in the Dunes… wow! Those were so freakin' creepy! Being a mile or so underground and suddenly the flashlight starts giving out… seconds before all hell breaks loose.

One thing tho… something that's really helped me through this game is the harpoon. Try using it when you pull up on a smaller area, such as a scrape-search area, on the warboys that try to rush you. It's a simple technique. Hop out of the car, get the enemies' attention so that they are approaching you. Hop back into the car and as they come into range, skewer them with the harpoon and send the flying. It makes short work of quite a few of the smaller areas, and can sometimes even be used in camps where you can drive a ways into the gate. Anyway, that's helped me to get through several areas more quickly, allowing for more time in the evening to go hunting for raiding parties. Now that my Magnum Opus is maxed out, I can often smash through an enemy vehicle in one really hard hit… so when you see a car on the side of the road that corresponds to a enemy ident on the map, take aim and hit 'em fast and hard! :)

Damn, this year is shaping up to be one of the better years of gaming in the past decade for me. 2014 wasn't very good, but this year has been promising

I'm curious what style this would have, open free world (with drivable vehicles or more Fallout style), or something equal to Metro, Crysis series and just follow the road…
