This was an amazing story, and I would also suggest watching the movie Amistad, and 12 years a slave. Some where within those 3 movie, if you can't see and feel how absolutely wrong slavery and owning of another Human being really was. There will be something differently wrong in your heart and with your way of thinking about cruelty.

Across the world yesterday, LDS congregations read a letter from their "prophets" about same sex marriage. The letter was degrading, bigoted, and disgusting.

In my UU congregation yesterday they discussed an "immediate action" resolution from the UU general assembly about how black lives matter.

The sermon was on the issue of how "black lives matter", together with a discussion about the movie Belle.

Contrast? I am reminded again and again of why my decision to leave the LDS Church was the right one.
