Another Top 10 Misleading Movie Trailers

As if last time wasn’t bad enough, this list proves that Hollywood really will do anything to get butts in seats. Join http://www.WatchMojo.com as we count down our picks for Another Top 10 Misleading Movie Trailers. Like last time, we’re looking at trailers to movies that failed to do justice to the film’s content and vastly mislead audiences, making them expect a different experience. This can be anything from focusing on the wrong subject matter, relying too heavily on jokes, or anything else that made the trailer stray too far from the actual film. To be fair, sometimes misleading people is the best way to market a movie, I mean Eternal Sunshine probably would have been RUINED if they revealed the true plot. Hey, it's better than spoiling major movie points.

There should be a website that's like a guide for movie trailers. Before you watch a movie trailer on YouTube, you could look on the website to find out whether the trailer is misleading or gives away any major spoilers before watching it.

#3 for Cabin in the Woods? I think that's almost a given. I mean, in order for the film to have the proper effect, they would've had to omit that from an advertisement. It was central to the plot and would have corrupted the ending before it had been shown in theaters.

You should have added "now you see me" it makes it seem like magicians rob a bank but there's a lot more than just the bank thing that happens

How come neither of these lists included the trailers for Brave (which gave absolutely no indication that the mother was going to turn into a bear despite that being the movie's main plot) or X-Men Origins: Wolverine (which practically flat-out said that Wolverine was going to CHOOSE to forget his past instead of that amnesia-inducing adamantium bullet shit)?

But the 2D animated part of the spongebob movie was the best part! It felt like watching old spongebob! The live action part just felt like another chipmunk or smurfs movie

How about the Adam Sandler movie, Click.

The trailer is ridiculously upbeat, yet the movie leaves you with an existential crisis.
